We are making our way through December pretty quickly wouldn’t you say? Are you done with your shopping? Sadly, I am not. However, I have a friend coming in town this weekend from Cali so I’m hoping I can talk her into braving the outlets with me….
This time of year it seems extra important to count your blessings when you have so much and there are others who have so little. I’m a huge fan of volunteering during the holiday season when the need is at it’s peak. I’ll be heading to my favorite local charity next week to lead a team of volunteers. Coach EK volunteers here year-round and he should be commended for doing so. Thanks for setting this up for me EK!
I’ve got a short list of things I’m thankful for today because I’m short on time. So without further adieu, today, I’m thankful for:
1. Kooza. I got to see this Cirque du Soleil traveling show last night courtesy of the SO. Awww. It was amazing! The photo below was by far my favorite but the entire performance was at times hysterical, breath taking, and magical.
2. Virtual 5Ks. It seems that the virtual races are popping up all over the place. I was happy to run this one last Saturday with Kat and new blogger pal Jesica from rUnladylike. Jesica was in town for a wedding and within 30 minutes the three of us were new BFF’s.
3. Grumpy Cat. I can’t get enough of him. I think this one is my favorite thus far.
What are you thankful for today?
Thankful to get to see you so much lately! ! 😉
What?!?! It's December!! 🙂 I guess I forget I'll blame it on the lack of snow! I'm so jealous on #1 have fun!
I thought I would be sick of Grumpy Cat by now but it just keeps making me laugh. I think my favorite is the "Nope" poster. Or the "life's a bitch, then you die nine times".
I love Cirque du Soleil. I haven't gone to Kooba but I went to a few in Las Vegas and one in Taiwan. They are amazing! It baffles me what the human body is capable of.
Great job with your run!
I am so not a cat person, but that grumpy cat is really funny!
Have had a rough week, to say the least…but I am truly thankful for my family, friends, and wonderful virtual friends like you!
I have yet to see any Cirque shows. I'm such a pooser. Need to get on this. I am thankful for how every year even though I live away from home, my mom send me my favorite home made cookies that I have requested since I was a little girl. (I'm just slightly not thankful for why my jeans ironically shrink in the dryer at the same time…)
