So yesterday AM I got up bright and early, ok fine it was dark and early, and I laced up and headed out for my final pace run. Basically every run I do this week will be my “final” blah blah blah run before the marathon, but I digress. I headed out for a nice five miler where I met up with LaWa and P-Funk.
It was a good run. Overall my legs felt fine and I was on pace. Except for the whole everything-is-twinging-due-to-taper-madness, I felt good.
We finished up our run and headed home to shower. Not together sickos! We each went to our respective homes. Geez. Anyway, I got home and got undressed and left my clothes in front of the hamper. Ok, so I didn’t get to do laundry like I wanted yesterday and the hamper is sort of full. If by full I mean about to explode dirty clothes like Vesuvius, then yes. Thus I left the clothes on the floor in front of the hamper. Don’t look at me like that! You’ve done it before too. You bunch of Waldorf and Statler’s!
That would be Lloyd wearing my sports bra. Now this is not the first time he has decided to don my sports bra. In fact he has done this once before, but he was too fast that time for me to get a photo. Honestly, I’m not quite sure what it is about the sports bra that he loves. Perhaps he isn’t getting enough support from his fur, perhaps he is using it as a way to illustrate that I spend too much time in one, or maybe, just maybe…he thinks he looks good in teal. In any event I am a supportive parent and whatever my little J. Edgar Hoover wants to choose as his lifestyle, I am A-OK with it. Taper madness continues….stay tuned…..
Hahah he just wants to make sure all his supportive needs are met and since he doesnt have opposable thumbs to open the drawer, he will take what he can get. Even if that means he has to deal with the occasional boob sweat
Hi, new follower … two things: Lloyd might be the best name for a dog I've ever heard, and I feel ya on the taper – I'm in it right now, boring and "can we please just get to the race already!". Best wishes on your marathon!
🙂 so cute. Hang in there this week and Good luck this Sunday…you'll do great I'm sure!
Hilarious! Yes no judging coming from here…I have my own Vesuvius!!! So excited for you for Sunday!
What does he love so much about them?? Maybe you should just buy him one or two to have for himself.
Awww, animals do the goofiest things to be close to us (I think). Best of luck in the marathon! Tapering is always a challenge – I usually feel like crap the whole time right up until the starting line. Don't sweat it.
Hahaha. Atleast Lloyd is just wearing your sports bra. My sweet Ellie ATE mine. grrr.
That is so funny…
Oh Lloyd, you cross dressing maniac how I love your scraggamuffin face!!!
Nice; much better than my cat who likes to wear and carry around my underwear. It's a great trick for guests…
good luck with your taper. your dog = hilarious. LOVE. IT!
hahahaha, that is too funny! He looks good in teal! 🙂
I stopped reading after the shower scene. Why is there a picture of a dog in a sports bra??????
So funny! Maybe he just likes the smell of you. The sweaty smell that is!
I think you need to make him a sports bra of his own. That would be ADORABLE.
That literally made me laugh out loud. That is the kind of ridiculous thing my cat would do and then act really embarrassed.
What he is really trying to say is that he needs a lady friend to fill out the other part of the bra. So get going on that. Also, good luck on your marathon!!!
Hilarious!
It's only been a few months that I haven't had a dog around, and I've been leaving clothes ALL OVER the house. It'll be a hard adjustment if I get another one!
Oh, and GOOD LUCK AT THE MARATHON!!!!
Oh Lloyd, you're lucky to have friends and family who will love you no matter what gender-issues you struggle with.
The J. Edgar Hoover reference had me spewing coffee all over my computer. It's all your fault!
Have fun during taper!
