Hiiiidy ho! Welcome to Thursday my friends. This Thursday is special because it’s Earth Day! It’s safe to assume that we runners appreciate the Earth since we are always outdoors getting our run on. And we appreciate it in that non-dirty hippy way. Well, at least I do. No tie-dye for me thank-you-very-much.
If it weren’t for the awesomeness of Mother Nature, we’d just be running around in plastic suits and breathing some fake air while getting all pale and yuck yuck. I personally really enjoy the outdoors. I like green grass, blue skies, and listening to the ocean. (And then taking a shower!)
So today, I am thankful for Earth. Let’s keep her clean by recycling, not littering, and only going #2 outside during a run when there is no other option!
What are you thankful for today?
I am thankful for the Earth, too.
I'm also thankful for the ability to run and that I'm graduating in two weeks. 🙂
I'm with you! As spring is in full swing, it's hard not to be in awe of the beauties around us. If only I had the ocean to look at and hear every day. You're so lucky!
LMAO! Oh how I've missed you!
I love the outdoors! Definitely thankful for that!
*Ahem* and picking up the #2s left by our furry friends as well!
Who you calling a Hippie??? I am once again thankful that Thursday is a rest day. Yay me…….
I'm with you. Definitely thankful for the earth and all it gives us! We need clean air and parks to keep running!
I agree with The Eagle – an Australian blogger (ray42k.blogspot) who said yesterday: How good is it to be alive, fit and training well and hard. Really life does not get much better. And the garbage that life deals us each day is much easier to handle when the day starts off in such a positive way.
I'm thankful for coffee. Why is my comment so different than everyone else's? Ah ha
Everyday should be earth day…:-)
Sorry you couldn't make it to Boston. Morgan and I were saying lots and lots of nice things about you 🙂
All the best,
Ron
I always get so inspired by earth day and everyone getting so excited about it.
i had to laugh at the #2 outside part 🙂
i "planted" grass at work on earth day. (we have buckets of grass seed in the warehouse). basically i took a handful and threw it out on the ground. big effort.
I'm hoping to become a running junkie!!! your blog is great! I have enjoyed spending time reading about RUNNING and life !!!!
