Since everyone is hopping on challenges lately, I figured January would be a good time to start a fun one that requires no dieting, planking, squatting, or anything else that would necessarily work up a sweat. It’s the lazy man’s challenge really. Ha!
I have to give the credit for this idea to my friend Kari who posted the idea on Instagram and I was all for it. Kari had the idea to wear a different race shirt for every day in January as a way to stay motivated and actually wear all of those race shirts we accumulate over the years. Great idea girl!
I emailed with Tori and Meghan to see if they wanted to link up on this and they were both into the idea as well. I have a ton of race shirts and only about three make it into the regular rotation so it’ll be nice to let some of the other shirts see the light of day versus being burried at the bottom on my race shirt drawer.
I am fortunate enough to work in a casual office environment where I can wear race shirts in on a daily basis. And if I don’t feel like dressing casual one day during January, I am going to at least wear a race shirt around the house after work on said day. I figured you all could do that too. I know it’s a lot colder in other parts of the country so feel free to layer those bad boys on under your sweaters! That counts too! And, if you don’t have 31 shirts, you can adjust the challenge to work for you.
I plan on using Instagram to document my shirt wearing so find me there at discombobruns or on twitter with the same handle. If you want play along, add your link below:
So, let’s get our money’s worth and rock these shirts!

Thanks for including me! I love sharing all my different shirts! It'll make me think back to those races! How fun.
Great idea!!!
I am in. I have the ones in my drawer and the pile of them on my shelf. Maybe they will get some wear now.
All my old shirts have been in a bag waiting to be turned into a quilt… for like 5+ years. (Back when they were cotton tees all the time instead of 'performance' shirts). I wish i could wear race shirts to work! In all honesty I need to either get rid of the shirts or have that t-shirt quilt made once and for all…
