I will not start this post with TGIF. I promise. (I do that every Friday!) So instead, I’ll say… uh … TGITDBS! (Thank God It’s The Day Before Saturday!) Hee hee…
I’ve had a great week of training and am right on track with my workouts, save one little swim. I’ve been focused getting on the bike more and have enjoyed my workouts this week. It helped that it was a cool 70 degrees this morning for my five mile run. It’s been so warm lately that Lloyd is back to cooling off his man parts on the kitchen floor. Heh.
Can’t get the pic to rotate. You get the general cuteness idea. |
I was messaging with Keara this week and we started discussing the Ironman and how I may never want to ride my bike again afterward. Haha. Keara mentioned having the glory of finishing an Ironman and joking how she’d start introducing me as her friend Beth, the Ironman. It made me laugh and it also made me think about how fun crossing that finish line is going to be.
Instead of feeling panicky or wondering about my splits, I just felt excited. I’m so excited to hear Mike Reilly (the voice of Ironman) and see my family and friends at that finish line. This is a great reminder to everyone, including myself, to think about that finish line, whatever the race may be. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I heart finish lines.
That’s it for today! TGIF Er, I mean have a great weekend all!
It will be AMAZING!!! You're going to do so awesome!
It will be amazing because that's what you are!!! I can remember training for Boston and envisioning seeing the finish line for the first time…yeah I saw it that day and burst into tears!!!
You will own that race and it will be awesome!
