Every now and again a girl just needs a tub of ice cream. For example, when she’s sad, when she’s happy, when it’s hot out, when it’s cold out, when it’s rainy, when it’s sunny, when….oh who am I kidding? A girl just needs some damn ice cream.
Today, I am thankful for ice cream.
I am also thankful for all it’s incarnations: gelato (ciao!), frozen yogurt, frozen custard, sorbet, etc. I know that they make electrolyte pops for after a run on a hot day but it’s just not the same as good old ice cream.
Apparently ice cream has been around for a long, long time and it used to be a luxury. Wait. What am I saying? Used to be? That delicious creamy stuff still is a luxury! I’m a big fan of strawberry in the summer.
Today, this girl needs some ice cream. And probably a run right before.
What are you thankful for today?
I totally love ice cream. So does my daughter. Last weekend we were talking about maybe making ice cream. Yummmmm.
I have an ice cream place a block from my house. I go there almost every Tuesday after a 5 miler and get my nom nom nom on!
I love chocolate ice cream…throw some hot fudge and caramel on top and I'm in heaven. I also love some butter pecan from marble slab. Yummers.
There's nothing better than ice cream on a hot day. I love chocolate too, but caramel has to be the best in ice cream!
hhah I've never heard of electrolyte pops but I agree, I can't imagine they would be as good. I'll take any excuse for ice cream even though I'm lactose intollerant! It's SO worth it!
Well…now that I'm thinking of it, I'm definitely thankful for ice cream! And this week in particular I am thankful for my running shorts, which I just located after over a week of searching. (in my sock drawer, go figure.) They will surely be a life saver for the rest of the summer.
There's a little ice cream shop just up the road from me that I'm thinking should be the end of every run. Cheers!
Today, I'm thankful for air conditioning. Enough said.
Mmmm, ice cream! Sounds like something I'm thankful for today, too. Cheers! *waffle cone clink*
I am ALWAYS thankful for ice cream!!
There's a place in my town that makes it's own homemade custard and they make a Blizzard type thing…heavenly!!
Chocolate Almond. Cookies and Cream. Moose Tracks. Good Humor Strawberry Shortcake Eclairs. Nutty Buddies.
That's all I have to say.
