“The value of a man resides in what he gives and not in what he is capable of receiving.”
-Albert Einstein
Every Thursday I write about random things that I am thankful for. Often times I don’t mention stuff like running water, my health, food to eat, a safe place to sleep, medicine for Lloyd’s health, etc. It’s a shame that I sometimes forget to be thankful for the small stuff, the stuff we so easily take for granted. And since it’s the season of giving I think it’s time that I did just that and then some.
Thus, this Thankful Thursday I’m going to send you all over to one of my all time favorite blogs: Let’s Have A Cocktail. Not only are her posts hilarious, she has a heart of gold and compiles this giving list that makes it easy to help others, even those with four legs like Lloyd monster.
This post in particular includes 31 ways to give back and help others be thankful. And of course, you get the added bonus of good karma and feeling good.
In addition to those 31, I’m adding one for my friend Navy Steve. He is raising money for the Naval Special Forces Foundation. Click HERE to read more and donate. GO NAVY!
So which charity or program are you thankful for?
I'm thankful for the Humane Society. I've volunteered there on and off for years. I'm a sucker for fur babies!
You are awesome. Thank you for sharing the link (and the great description of my blog.) Have a fab day.
I'm always supportive of the American Diabetes Association because my husband has type 1 diabetes. Anything to find a cure is worth a lot in my book.
Great post! I am thankful for so many programs, including Girls on the Run (GOTR) and Doorways for Woman (a local shelter for abused women and their children). I'm a huge believer in giving-back because I'm so thankful for all of the wonderful things I've been blessed with. Thanks again for such a great post and sharing "Let's have a cocktail"
