This holiday season I have much to be thankful for. And so does Antoine Dodson. Here is a perfect example of how a person can turn tragedy to triumph. If you don’t know the back story on Antoine (he’s the hide-yo-kids-hide-yo-wives guy) then watch this video first. And again, remove the rock that you are living under.
Now, after all of the crazy that Antoine and his family dealt with, he has turned what could have been a nightmare for his family into a goldmine and bought a new home in a safer neighborhood. You gotta love a guy who beats off an attacker and turns his story into a pop culture phenomenon. Thus today I am thankful for Antoine Dodson who shows that by doing the right thing with a little flare can make for a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Back when that came out, my coworkers and I loaded up the Antoine Dodson soundboard app on our iPhones and when we talked on the phone we'd insert sound bytes into our conversations occasionally.
Coworker: "Hey Harold I'm running late today"
Me: (with Antoine Dodson app) "We lookin for you!" "Homeboy"
I was about 4 yrs late to the Hide Yo Kids party but I did finally discover this hit a couple months ago. I'm glad he bought a house and did not just invest in chrome (rims) and gold (teeth grills).
