Guess what all? I made it 6 hill repeats on Monday night and Old Wonky stayed away. I am impressed. It appears as though I am almost fully healed, I don’t want to get ahead of myself here, but I haven’t had any ankle pain in two weeks. I am going to continue being careful and vigilant to keep an eye on it.

With all that said, I feel as though I have lost a bit of the fire I had during the training for the Marine Corps. Marathon. I am not quite sure why. During that cycle I was a maniac. I was hitting all of my training runs and felt really motivated.

This time around, not so much.

I have been getting most of my runs in, but I haven’t been really consumed with my paces, nor have I been really excited and pushed during each run. I’m not sure if this has to do with being more careful or if it’s something to do with the weather. What’s even more strange is that I am not super freaked out by this. I guess I am just being cautious.

I am very excited for the Gasparilla Marathon however and hope that I feel a little better while running it than I did last year. I think I am going to try channeling some Redhead and perhaps a little bit of her fire will rub off on me this weekend. (Minds out of the gutter here gentlemen!)
